FARVET held a project closure workshop

Farvet SAC, a successful and innovative biopharmaceutical company in the development of vaccines for animal health, together with the Innóvate Peru program of the Ministry of Production, held a workshop to close and disseminate the results of the project “Development of a vectorized vaccine against hepatitis to bodies of inclusion (HCI) in a non-pathogenic Newcastle disease virus ”, on July 26 in the city of Chincha – Ica.
After the welcoming words of welcome given by Dr. Manolo Fernández Díaz, principal investigator and general manager of Farvet SAC, the main theme of this workshop and the presentation of the project were in charge of the M.Sc. Katherine Ivette Calderón Mayo, researcher at Farvet SAC.
In this research work it was concluded that the vaccine developed achieved 100 percent protection against a lethal challenge of HCI and NDV, in addition that this vaccine is capable of generating a cellular and humoral immune response for HCI and NDV, and that said vaccine managed to confer complete protection against other FAdV serotypes.
In turn, Dr. Vladimir Morales-Erasto of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM), held a scientific update conference on the “infectious coryza and bacterial agents involved in respiratory diseases in poultry farming in Latin America ”.
After the presentations and to conclude the workshop, the organizers of the event invited the entire audience to enjoy a fellowship lunch held at the restaurant “El Batán” in Chincha.
