Timeline
FARVET’s main objective throughout its history has been to work towards improving the health and welfare of animals. The activities of FARVET started in the 80’s, when its founder, Dr. Manolo Fernández Díaz, pointed out a vision oriented to the growth of the company for the next decades. For years, our researchers have helped to discover new ways to treat, diagnose and prevent infectious diseases and have contributed to the development of several animal health products, such as vaccines and antibiotics; like the development of the first vaccine against freeze-dried strain 9R Salmonella gallinarum, auto-vaccines against avian diseases like Infectious Coryza, EDS (Low Posture Syndrome), HCl (Inclusion Body Hepatitis) and LT (Infectious Laryngotracheitis). In addition, the first launch of the recombinant vaccines and the first pig cholera vaccine produced in cell culture and produced in Peru. FARVET also seeks the highest level of scientific excellence and our research is committed to preserving animal health. We are proud of our past and at the same time look forward to a healthier future for animal health.
